The depression which is at present seen in the west-southwest of Mayabander in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India will also fuel in some hefty showers. Heavy squalls with thunderstorms are also likely to lash the region. This depression is seen moving towards the Myanmar coast.

Moreover, as per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is seen over East Assam and adjoining area. Another trough is also seen extending from the foothills of Uttar Pradesh up to Nagaland across the northeastern states. In the wake of this, scattered rains are expected to show up in the northeast regions particularly over Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Assam.

Skymet Weather further details that these rains are expected to show up during the late afternoon or evening hours as per the nature of pre-Monsoon showers. Moreover, these rains are expected to continue for the next 24 hours. Thereafter, the intensity is predicted to reduce.
