Two female over-ground workers of NSCN (K) held in Arunachal Pradesh

The Longding battalion of the Security Forces apprehended two female over ground workers of NSCN(K) identified as Nauki Jugli and Jamna Lowang on March 8 evening at Niausa Village in Arunachal Pradesh in a mobile check post.

The ladies were in possession of an amount of Rs 1.2 lakh, four mobile phones and were making contradictory statements during the initial interrogation by the lady police Constable.

Defence sources informed that Nauki Jugli is resident of New Shallang village of Changlang District and is wife of self styled Revenue Secretary Pholai Ponglaham alias Folay, resident of Rusa village of Longding District.

Neither of them had any justifiable reason to be in possession of such amount of cash and them being present in Niausa.

Later during police interrogation, it was revealed that the cash was extortion money collected from people of Rangluwa Village.
