Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup, Dr. M. Angamuthu informed that this year, in Diwali, only in selected areas fire-crackers can be sold. It is mandatory to take permission from the District Commission, GMC and Police to sell any kind of fire-crackers. DC, Angamuthu also informed that a permission letter from the Pollution Board is also compulsory for all the businessmen. He also ordered to ban all the Chinese products in the market. Shops, which have GST registration, can only sell fire-crackers. If anyone find violating the order, will get punishment by the law and authority.
