For the Veteran Assamese actor, Nipon Goswami ‘evergreen hero’ is an apt title. Born in Tezpur in the same year that India attained independence, Goswami made his film debut as a child artist only at the age of seven. He has since travelled far and has seen all the ups and downs of the Assamese industry. And from a child artist he has gone to play every type of role possible. An alumnus of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, he has given several memorable hits like Dr Bezbaruah, Ajali Nabou and Jibon Surabhi.
