To make this dessert, you will need to take a couple of ripe and midsized mangoes. You will also need a cup of grated jaggery, 300 grams rice powder and 2 banana leaves.
At first, you will have to wash and peel ripe mangoes. Then grate the fruits well and blend with rice powder and jaggery well. Divide the mixture in two parts. Clean and dry banana leaves. Then, put the mixture on the leaves and wrap to make parcels. Tie with strings and bake atop a hot griddle on both sides. Open the parcels and serve hot.

Pudina chutney with green mango
This is mouth-watering chutney that is easy to make. You will need 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, Coriander leaves, chilies, Sugar, Salt, pieces of raw mango. You may also use a small amount of lime juice.
At first, wash and peel mango pieces and wash mint leaves well. Then mix everything together and make a smooth paste in grinder. Mix a small amount of chat masala and serve with daal and rice.

Aam aru dailor pitika
Pitika or mashed dishes are very popular in Assam. For this one, you need to take a raw mango. You will also need to use a boiled potato, sliced onion, salt, mustard oil, coriander leaves, chopped green chilies, boiled red lentil.
At first, you need to boil the mango and peel it and mash it. Then mix it with mashed boiled potato well. Add the other ingredients to this mixture. Serve the pitika with steaming rice and daal.

This is more popular in neighboring Tripura and west Bengal but Assamese people resort to this soothing yet tangy dish in scorching days of summer as well! You will need toor Dal, sliced Onion, mustard seeds, red chilly, Turmeric, Garlic, diced green mango, green chilies and salt to make this dish.
At first, you have to boil the daal in water after adding garlic, chilli, onions and turmeric powder. Mangoes can be boiled separately. Now, heat oil and sauté the mustard seeds and red chilly for a few minutes. Add the boiled daal with mangoes to it. Add salt as per taste and cook. Serve it with steaming rice.
