Assam doctor among 15 to deliver speech at US meet

Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Associate Professor of Surgery Dr. Purojit Choudhury has been invited to deliver a speech on ‘pancreatic disorder’ as a faculty guest speaker at a very special academic session in the second international conference on ‘The Pancreas 2017’ slated for September 13 and 14, 2017 at Dallas, USA. Dr. Choudhury will be leaving for US on September 10.

Dr. Choudhury is the only surgeon from India to have been invited to deliver a speech at the prestigious academic session to be attended by over 25,000 delegates from all over the globe. He will deliver his lecture on ‘Is Chronic Pancreatitis an Unsolved Enigma of Pancreatic Milestone? An Observation’.  The theme of the Pancreatic Disorder and Treatment is ‘Precision Medicine for Pancreatic Disorder’.   

Dr. Choudhury is the first Indian surgeon, second from Assion and fifth in the world to have obtained the Doctor of Science (D.Sc) degree. He obtained this degree from the GMCH in 2016 on ‘Surgical Gastroenterology’. He is one of the fifteen doctors who are to deliver speech at the conference.
