Another man commits suicide due to fear of NRC notice in Silchar

In a shocking incident, another man committed suicide due to fear of NRC verification process.

An aged man named Akram Uddin Barbhuiya today taken his life at his residence at New Ramnagar in Silchar by hanging himself with the wood attached to the ceiling.

Reportedly, Akram Uddin Barbhuiya could not manage all the required documents for the NRC verification and he got terrified with the thought of being declared as foreigner by the administration. The stress of NRC verification has taken over Akram Uddin and he had taken this drastic step.

Two days ago another man in Goalpara district committed suicide as his daughter was served with a NRC re-verification notice and he feared that her daughter may be declared as foreigner and will be sent to Bangladesh. Failed to handle the pressure of NRC verification the man named Anwar Hussain committed suicide in Goalpara.
