Meghalaya state karate team bag 24 gold medals in National Championships

National Championships

In the recently held National Championships which was held in Gujarat from December 29 to January 2, Meghalaya bagged the runners up trophy and won overall 24 gold, 17 silver and 15 bronze medals.

There has been a surge in the popularity of martial arts in the Northeast and Nagaland winning 16 medals in the ongoing Taekwondo national championships, the talent in the region is insurmountable.

There were 29 athletes who represented the Meghalaya team which was led by Mingson Rymbai and Arjun Sewa.
