Avocado Proposal: People Are Hiding Rings Inside Avocados And Proposing Marriage To Partners!

In the day and age of Instagram foods and food trends, millennial tastes pretty much rule the roost and whether culinary puritans and experts like it or not, social media fads drive trends too.

A lot of restaurants have started incorporating what are called 'Insta-ready' foods in their menus, in the hopes of catching the attention of young crowds with smartphones.

This trend has been decried many a times and by multiple chefs and celebrities. However, food fads are nowhere close to disappearing. Avocado is one such food that has ridden the 'trendy foods' wave and has become a millennial favorite all around the world.

Millennials are apparently putting avocados in everything, from toasts to milkshakes and smoothies, ice-creams, sauces and even vegan sushis!

But maybe the avocado obsession has gone a bit too far this time. The creamy and savory avocado fruit has been in the headlines lately, because people are hiding rings inside it and proposing to their partners! So we guess, proposing by hiding the ring inside wine, champagne and cake is too old school now.

We know this has become a trend as it has got its own hashtag- #avocadoproposal. A lot of photographers have shared pictures that they captured of couples sharing their special 'avocado proposal' moments in various places and these pictures have been doing the rounds on social media lately.

If you don't want to hide your ring inside the avocado, you can even get a proposal messaged carved onto the skin of the fruit. However, some people are also pointing towards the fact that a sliced avocado doesn't remain bright green and fresh from the inside for more than 10 minutes, and a marriage proposal is bound to take longer than that for sure!

So what do you think about the avocado proposal? Would you go for an 'avocado proposal' or would you like to propose in a more old school 'dinner date and champagne' kind of way? Let us know in the comments below.
