Health awareness programme for senior citizens hosted in Digboi

The Rotary Club of Digboi organized a health awareness programme for senior citizens on Friday at Digboi High School.

The health awareness talk was attended by hundreds of senior citizens from various parts of Digboi.

Punya Saikia, the learned state literary pensioner was the Chief Guest of the programme. He along with Dr Dipen Borthakur and Dr Nirja Saikia  spoke about various old age ailments and suggested means to overcome the same.

Certain Do’s and Don’t’s were suggested to be followed regularly like dieting habit, balanced food and disciplined life style and light physical exercise.

The programme was chaired by Purna Bora of Digboi Rotary Club. A host of dignitaries including Kishore Baruah the President of the Club, Prabhat Sarma the former Principal of Digboi Women’s College and Rajib Bhuyan attended the programme.
