Good news for Assam. Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir extends helping hand to Assam’s Abhirun. As per the information, Cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s foundation has taken the responsibility to bear the full expenses to educate a 5-year old child, Abhirun Das from Assam’s Kamrup (M) district. Abhirun’s father, Divakar Das, a CRPF Jawan, was martyred during an ambush last year.
The slain jawan Divakar Das hailed from Palashbari in Assam. Gambhir’s foundation, which is involved in philanthropic activities, reached out to Abhirun recently. Following the announcement, Palashbari locals appreciated the humanitarian initiative of the cricketer. As per information, the foundation has taken the responsibility of more than 25 children of CRPF personnel who were killed in an ambush by maoists in Sukma in Chattisgarh in 2017. Appreciation has made from all over Assam to the Cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s foundation for their positive step.
