At an altitude of 14200 feet, the pass is located on the Indo-China border. The journey itself is an exhilarating experience, with mist covered peaks, zigzag roads and roaring waterfalls, the passage is simply amazing. Visitors are required to get a permit to visit the place. It was the route of the legendary Silk Route.
The picturesque mountain village of Lachung at a height of 8610 feet. Lachen and Yumthang Valley
Lachen is a small pass at an elevation of 2,750 metres in the North East Himalayas. It is the gateway to the holy Guru Dongmar and Tso Lhamu lakes. It is also the base for excursion to Yumthang Valley. The beautiful valley situated is located at a height of 3,500 metres. It is home to many beautiful Himalayan flowers. In the summer months the whole valley is seen carpeted in vibrant blooms.

Pelling is rapidly becoming a popular tourist destination. At an altitude of 6800 ft, it's the most excellent place to get a closest view of the world's 3rd highest peak Mt. Kanchenjunga.
